| Think I'm a bit late to all the tournament discussions...Did the event ever get goin'? 'Cause I'm drooling for some competition, and the Rangers aren't very active right now...I'd definitely play anytime everyone else is available.  Is there, by chance, a weekly DTF game night as well, or any time that many pilots gather in Mumble? I WANTZ 2 FIGHT!  |

As a Co-Founder & Inferno Descent/Freespace Collector, I can't do much, Yet I do plan to reboot the place, but how? I have no idea.
Perhaps by hosting games out of the blue again? Maybe that.
That we need a reboot is utmost obvious, but the main problem is that the Admin has been away for about 8 weeks now and that without saying a single word on why, he is needed for some major changes.
We are a sitting duck without a an Admin to make changes and also make plans for such things as these tournies.
Anyways I am doing my best to get this place up and running again, but being Co_Founder you don't have all the needed abilities to take on things like Tournies and getting the place all shaped up again the logo needs to be changed or renewed, fun game nights should be planned and such, I am no planner I don't have that ability nor that it would suit me, all I want to do is play the game series without any hesitations.
This place was made for fun games only, so this is a segment I don't tend to take part of, just lack of interest, as long I can have a fun game with other DTF or Descent Rangers or any other Descent fan out there, I am fine with it.
And the main reason that I have not been around much is that I have a serious relationship, so I have other things on my mind and little time for playing Descent, she like I myself love playing Minecraft and yeps we are enjoying it big time.
Due to my medication playing Descent isn't as fun and as good as it used to be. Even that I want my old shape back, it's hard and this is probably why I have not been in many games that lately._________________ Powered by 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 PCI  |

Mumble still hurts my Mac for some reason, so I don't use it unfortunately. I check the game server daily (admittedly at different times) and haven't seen a game for weeks... I might suggest a return to kali - there are still a few folks keeping that alive...
not sure what to suggest, but I do want to play D! I don't know if there is enough of us to make critical mass for tournament activity.
maybe email to set game times would be more productive? At least we could all reply at our own times rather than hoping others will be waiting online when we show up.

| Well I can suggest going to this IRC page here,there are also people here that still play,they have this event every friday where they play for about 4 hours.hope it helps?

| I don't see why we need to wait for the admin to get back to set up DTF games. Let's just pick a day and a time range that works for everyone and then play descent.
Pretty much any day / time works for me. |

| Hmm, this may be more difficult than I thought because of time zones. I assume ( correct me if I'm wrong ) most descenters either live in America or Europe. Maybe a convenient time would be 7 pm in Europe and about noon in America?
I think the weekend would work best for most people, so how about Saturday or Sunday? |

| xeph, the hour you propose has been our standard for testing and playing in rebirth. : ) However, in any case, it's still best if you announce each gathering in events each posted on a separate thread or, make a new thread about a fixed daily/weekly schedule of the sorts you propose, so that we get organised and everyone else can see it as clear as day. : )
